Record of Play - All teams players must sign this form (first and last name) after their championship games

All teams play in the City Championships, games are a double knockout format There is no if necessary game, the final game is the final gold medal game.

City Championship games can be played on any night of the week.

No Infield Warmups on groomed and lined diamonds.

Coaches need to communicate with each other about diamond locations. The Club Diamond will be supplied by the highest Seeded Team, - if not at Vista Heights

The highest Seeded team will have the CHOICE of home or away in all games except the Final game. In the Final game, the team on the top of the bracket will have choice of home or away.

Highest Seeded Team will supply the parent umpire for the weeknight games or email umpirerequest@calgaryminorsoftball.com. Weekend games will have an umpire scheduled. We will do our best to have games covered during the week, however, we are short on umpires.

Teams playing in City Championships must do so with only their registered players. Exceptions (Affiliated Player’s) must be approved by the league.

Players must play at least three league games with their team before they can participate in City Championships

·Do not have kids playing who are not on your registered roster, all players MUST be registered on your Calgary Minor Softball roster OR approved by the league.

Scores MUST be submitted immediately after your games to your Category Chair! Email your scores immediately after you finish your games.

After each game ALL players and coaches from both teams must sign (first and last name) the Record of Play form after each playoff game, failure to do so could result in forfeiture of the game. linked above and sent via email to teams. Email this form in with the score

You will be handing in your score sheets at City Championships, the score sheet must be filled in fully – team names (Club, team name), home and away, date, diamond played at etc. First and Last names on the score sheet.

All score sheets from the City Championships will be handed in at Vista Heights at the tournament headquarters on the weekend.

Games are 1 hour and 15 minutes for U9, 1 hour and 30 minutes U11, 1 hour and 45 minutes for U13 to High School, no new innings to start after this time.

Double Header games are 1 hour for U9, 1 hour and 15 minutes U11, and 1 hour 30 minutes for U13 to High School, no new innings to start after this time. If required Double Headers can be played at any category.

Games cannot end in a tie - international tie breaker rule will be used. As per page 40, Rule 13.4.2 of the Calgary Minor Softball Rulebook.

In the event that weather conditions prevent a championship final game from being completed, Calgary Minor Softball will set the date and time for a make up game.
